Dr. Hadley Harris is a Veterinarian, Medical Director and Co-Owner at TotalBond Veterinary Hospital at Bethel. Originally from Rock Hill, SC, Dr. Harris grew up in a household full of animals and has been an animal lover since she was a small child. She graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Animal and Veterinary Sciences and was very active in the pre-veterinary programs. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine and performed a small animal rotating internship following graduation at a local referral and emergency hospital. She joined the TotalBond family in July 2015 and has loved every second of it.
At home Dr. Harris has two dogs, Paisley and Charlie, and two cats, Webster and noodle, all of whom are rescues. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, being outdoors, and spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Katie Adams Propst is an Associate Veterinarian at TotalBond Veterinary Hospital at Bethel. Dr. Propst earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal and Veterinary Sciences from Clemson University in 2008 and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. Throughout her education, Dr. Propst worked with a variety of small animal and mixed animal practices. Her areas of professional interest include dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and reproduction. From a young age, Dr. Propst always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian.
When she was only five years old, Dr. Propst asked Santa for a pregnant goat, and she got one! After helping with the difficult delivery of a foal at just twelve years old, Dr. Propst affirmed that she truly did want to become a veterinarian one day. According to Dr. Propst, the best part about working in the veterinary field is building relationships with pets, clients, and staff and being able to help cure animals. Dr. Propst grew up in York County, South Carolina on a small horse farm. She now lives in Sharon with her husband, Dewayne, and their three rescue dogs, three domestic short-hair cats, fourteen horses, and a mini donkey. In her free time, Dr. Propst enjoys spending time with family, reading, fishing, and raising, breeding, riding, and showing her horses.
Dr. Jaime Uren is the newest Associate Veterinarian with TotalBond Veterinary Hospital at Bethel. She received her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 2018 from Ohio State University, and went on to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2022 from Purdue University. During her clinical year, she had the opportunity to do an externship with TotalBond at Forestbrook! She has a professional interest in internal medicine, animal behavior, and the human-animal bond.
Dr. Uren began working in the veterinary field in 2016 and shadowed veterinarians any chance she could. Her family dog, Tessa, was her inspiration for making veterinary medicine her career. Dr. Uren’s favorite part of the day is helping clients maintain the human-animal bond with their loved ones, by providing the best care she can.
Dr. Uren grew up outside of Ann Arbor, Michigan and recently made the move to sunny Charlotte, North Carolina. Having spent so much of her time fostering service dogs for 4 Paws for Ability, she hopes she can adopt her very own fur baby. While she loves her goats, a dog is most likely to be in her future soon! Outside of work, Dr. Uren enjoys baking, biking, reading, and of course spending time with her friends and family.
Dr. Kaitlyn Slump is the newest member of TotalBond's team. She completed both undergraduate and veterinary education at the University of Georgia, where she cultivated a deep understanding of animal care and welfare.
While at UGA, Dr. Slump served as President of the outreach program "Vets for Pets and People," an initiative that provided temporary foster care for pets belonging to individuals seeking shelter from domestic violence while also raising awareness among veterinarians and the community about the crucial connection between domestic violence and animal abuse.
Driven by this passion for education and community service, Dr. Slump is eager to contribute to similar initiatives in the Charlotte area, aiming to make a meaningful difference in both human and animal lives.
At home, Dr. Slump shares life with two cherished feline companions, Bear and Nash. Outside of veterinary medicine, she has a diverse range of interests, including traveling, college football, hiking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Caroline LaCalamito grew up in western North Carolina. She received her undergraduate degree from Duke University and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ohio State. She's been practicing small animal medicine for over seven years.
Dr. LaCalamito lives in Belmont with her husband and their four sons. She enjoys reading, baking, and gardening.
Dr. Lili Becktell is a 2021 graduate of the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her career has been diverse, with a start in equine medicine before turning to what she affectionately calls "the smallies." Her professional interests lie in internal medicine, wound management, geriatric care, hospice and palliative care, chronic pain and osteoarthritis management, and preventative medicine. She is also deeply passionate about veterinary mental health and wellbeing. Dr. Becktell is a hands-on physician and believes that owners and veterinarians are a collaborative team in making and keeping pets well. She resides in Gastonia, NC with her husband Stuart, their son Sebastian, six cats, four chickens, and their horse Dugan.
Steve is the Practice Manager here at TotalBond Bethel. With 25 years of experience, he has experience working in every position within the veterinary field. He enjoys this profession and the fact that every day brings a new and interesting challenge. He has his BS in Biology (pre-med major) and a minor in chemistry. Before working in the veterinary field, Seteve was the lead biologist for Manatee county and was also a staff chemist at Mote Marine Laboratory in Florida. He has a wonderful wife of 20 years now and 2 boys and one dog and fish tanks.
Jojo joined the Bethel team in 2020 as a Veterinary Technician and has been working in the veterinary field for 11 years. She has had a love of animals since a young age and went to York Tech to get her Veterinary Assistant certificate following her graduation from high school. Originally from Fort Lauderdale, FL, Jojo moved to Clover, SC in 1999. Family is very important to her and you can find her spending time with her husband, his son, and their four dogs, Si, Dexter, Fritz, and Cooper, in her spare time.
Jenn has been a dedicated veterinary assistant at Totalbond Veterinary at Bethel since 2014, bringing over a decade of experience in the veterinary field. She graduated with B.S. in Pre-Veterinary Science from Clemson. With a passion for client education and a commitment to staying informed about the latest advances in veterinary medicine, Jenn ensures that clients have the best resources to support their pets' health and well-being. Alongside her assistant role, she also manages Bethel and Forestbrook's social media presence, sharing valuable insights and updates that connect the clinic to the community.
Outside of work, Jenn is a proud pet parent to a lively household of four dogs-Tristan, April, Kira, and Lilith-and five cats-Cindy, Peanut, Sassy, Church, and Troll. She is also known to foster bottle-baby kittens with special needs when needed. Her dedication to animals and her profession shines through in every aspect of her work and personal life, making her a beloved member of the Totalbond Veterinary team.
Heather joined the TotalBond team in 2017 as a veterinary technician. She grew up in a small town in North Carolina where she always had a dog. She has had a love for animals for as long as she can remember and wants to share that love with her daughter. She currently cares for the clinic's resident feline, Gemma, and enjoys fostering puppies and kittens when needed. When she is not working, she loves spending time with her friends and family.
Danielle, a Tega Cay native, joined the TotalBond team in 2017. Having always wanted to work in the veterinary industry, she pursued a degree in Biology and graduated from Converse College in 2015. She has several years experience in animal care, having worked with rodents, birds, reptiles, and even big cats in the past. She has two fur-children, Pippin, a ‘supermutt’, and Thor, a Great Pyrenees, whose shenanigans and funny antics never fail to make her laugh. In her spare time she enjoys reading, writing, listening to music, and other artistic pursuits.
Born and raised in Gastonia, NC, Devon followed in her mother's footsteps and pursued a career in veterinary medicine. She plans on attending Gaston Community College to become a veterinary technician and has a dog named Luna, who is her best friend, and a kitten she adopted from TotalBond named Dolly Mae. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, fishing, and going to the dog park with Luna.
Hanna was born and raised in Gastonia, NC. She joined the Bethel team in 2021 and has absolutely loved every second of her job. She has always had a love for animals which led her to the veterinary field. She has two spoiled fur babies of her own, Bentley and Birkley. In her spare time, she enjoys laughing with friends, shopping, and taking naps.
Jess is a Veterinary Assistant at TotalBond Veterinary Hospital at Bethel with a passion for patient care and caring for all of the fur babies she gets to see on a daily basis. Originally from Fort Mill, SC, Jess shares her home with her 11-year-old son, Paul. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with close friends. She is outgoing with a loud personality and her friends say that she has never met a stranger!

Sam is a dedicated veterinary assistant with a deep-rooted passion for animal care, which began during childhood on a family farm. Starting out as a Customer Service Representative, Sam worked at the front desk to gain experience and knowledge. Her love for animals extends beyond the professional realm, with a household that includes two dogs (Storm and Alibi) two cats (Binx and Sassafras) and a Betta fish named BumbleBee. This lifelong connection to animals drives Sam's commitment to ensuring the health and well-being of every pet under her care. Whether it's providing comfort during veterinary procedures or offering guidance to pet owners, Sam's compassion shines through in every aspect of her work. Outside of the clinic, Sam enjoys playing video games, hanging out with her animals and continues to be an advocate for animal welfare.

Angie has been with Bethel for nearly two years. Born and raised in Long Island, NY, this is her first experience in veterinary medicine, and she has gained a significant amount of knowledge during her time at the practice. Her background includes various roles in animal care, starting with positions at pet stores, followed by grooming, and currently as a receptionist at Bethel. She plans to further her education and become a registered veterinary technician, with a focus on expanding her expertise in both small animals and exotic species. In her spare time, she enjoys researching veterinary topics, caring for her bearded dragon and leopard gecko, gaming, reading, and taking walks with her two dogs Milo and Tucker.
Kayla has been in Veterinary Medicine for 4 years. Prior to joining the Total Bond family, she managed a Veterinary Wellness Center for 3.5 years before transitioning into a full-service vet. Kayla is on the board of directors for a local South Carolina pet rescue called Roxy's Rescue. When Kayla is not devoting her time to helping animals she loves to go hiking and camping in the mountains and spend time at the beach. Kayla has 5 pets of her own 2 dogs (Berlin and Lisboa) and 3 cats (Nairobi, Rio and Baby Finn) who are all adopted rescues.
Originally from a small town in Ohio, Makayla made the move to the Carolinas four years ago and has since embraced a new chapter in her career. With a background in healthcare, she has recently transitioned into the veterinary field, a change that has brought her immense joy. A proud pet parent to two beloved fur babies, Walker and Rosco, Makayla cherishes her time spent outdoors, especially by the lake with her husband and pets. Passionate about animal care and dedicated to her professional growth, she has goals of furthering her education in veterinary medicine, eager to deepen her knowledge and skills in this rewarding field.
Meet Jurnee. She has been a singer her entire life. She was even top seven on American idol in 2018. The only thing that she loves as much as music is animals. She has always been passionate about helping these voiceless creatures. She was raised in Colorado and moved here in 2021 with her wife of eight years Ashley. They have two chihuahuas named Kodi and Sebastian so far, but they are tempted to adopt more fur babies every time she comes to work. She loves waking up every single day and getting to help these animals and selfishly cuddle and take pictures with all her favorites. You can frequently catch her singing in the lobby and scheduling appointments.
